The dams were well scoured. 4 Tufted Duck & 1 Common Sandpiper.
2 Herring Gull one of which was in an argument with a Crow. 1 Reed Bunting, 5/6 Swallow, 3 WW.
Low numbers of Curlew and Lapwing. 4 Pied Wagtail, 5 Skylark, a few Meadow Pipit, 1 chipping Snipe.
I found this egg next to where the Snipe was. I suspect it had fallen victim to a Crow.
Mixenden Res was disappointing with just 1 GC Grebe on the water. Perhaps the presence of builders repairing the heavily damaged walls was the cause.
