Blackstone Edge and Whiteholme

A very warm day with clear blue skies, which didn't have a bird in them.

Blackstone Edge: 4 Dunlin, one of which went for a paddle. 4 Common Sandpiper present comprised of one adult and 2 recently fledged young plus a separate adult.

Whiteholme: 2 Common Sandpiper & 1 Oystercatcher

The long walk around all 4 stretches of water produced: 6 Pied Wagtail including 1 adult seen feeding to juveniles.

2 Wheatear. One was a definite juvenile and I think the other may have been but the distance proved troublesome for identification.

No shortage of Meadow Pipit but just 3 each of Curlew & Skylark.
