Local Park and Fields

Queensbury Sth with bright sunshine and a slight NW’ly breeze produced an awful session for birds. The highlight was in fact a cracking Brown Hare flushed from the former bog at Cross Lane.

A Nuthatch and couple Robin were at Littlemoor Park as were a pr of noisy suckers of scum proving themselves to be real men by tearing along the top track on a bike.
The adjacent fields were deadly silent; 2 Pied Wagtail, 1 BH ditto Common Gull, several House Sparrows.

Lanes Corporal and Jackson were so excruciating I cut the walk short and swam home through tears. 2 Pied Wagtail & c46 Common Gull.
Time to ‘fess up, peoples “Who amongst you has kidnapped the Lapwings?”
