Courtesy of DP. The wind was gusting and cold on arrival at Hartlepool but dropped and most of the time was spent in pleasant sunshine.
Hartlepool: Barred Warbler. 3 Purple Sandpiper, 1 Ringed Plover ditto Wheatear. A pr Arctic Skua chasing a gull. Several Eider Duck 4/5 Rock Pipit, 5/6 Redshank. Numerous Oystercatcher & Turnstone. 1 Razorbill ditto Grey Heron, few Cormorant & Shags. 1 Commic Tern flying around. 2 skeins of Pink-footed Geese heading N.
It was great to see former Queensbury resident DW who was instrumental in getting us to the Barred Warbler location which had also attracted an Article Warbler and scores of visitors.
Saltholme: 1 Little Egret ditto Grey Heron. Few Shoveler several Teal and Wigeon. 1 Kestrel numerous distant waders unidentifiable but hundreds of Golden Plover & Lapwing that were. 1 Commic Tern on the deck.
