A lifetime experience with a Woodcock that flew out from beneath a pathway wall and kept flying around us for a couple minutes. DW soon saw the reason why; a juvenile was sat motionless in the leaf litter! After a few photos we quickly moved off and on returning past the spot,as expected the pair had relocated to, hopefully a much safer spot.
