Soil Hill And Ogden Water

Another riveting day. I went up Perspiration Rd then along the Ned Hill track. A LBBG & 2 BHG flew over then just as I was contemplating throwing my bins away a couple of grunts from a Raven filled me with false hope.

I got to Ogden Water to see the usual gull ensemble and 5 Cormorant when I had cause to look at one adult gull further. It was a LBBG with pink legs maybe only the 3rd I’ve had here in aeons.

The woods were alive with the sound of… a single Robin.

Appropriately it issued a few notes of its melancholy late Autumn/Winter song 😭.
