Horton Bank Country Park

A skewbald Pony that had escaped from it's usual field was roaming the park and because of it's skittish behaviour I felt obliged to call t'old Bill on the non emergency number. Several dog walkers chose to a abandon their duties and left sharpish.

I feel guilty because I approached the excited critter and held my fist out. It gave me an eager nibble but suffered no obvious side effects and was still trotting some 25 minutes later. (I'm feeling a little horse after talking to the police for so long๐Ÿ‘…๐Ÿด).

About 20 large gulls present, the majority being young Herring with a couple of LBB alongside.
Pr Mute Swan ditto Canada Geese. Couple Coot & Moorhen. Unlike the previous 2 years in early May, there was no singing Sedge Warbler.

1 Song Thrush, 2 Blackbird, 1 Chiffchaff, 2/3 WW & a Blackcap.
