Queensbury to Shelf Moor

Another warm sunny ☀️ day that stifled the birding overall. A lot of noise in Littlemoor Park due to the singers which included a couple of Chiffchaff & Mistle Thrush. A few Goldfinch spread thinly & a Greenfinch.

3 Herring Gull were in a field in Blackshawbeck Lane which isn’t exactly a commonplace occurrence. Bridge Lane was disappointing perhaps due to the SE’ly breeze? A single Lapwing ditto Meadow Pipit & mebbe 4 Skylark. After just 3 Canada on the pond I was inspired to return home.

For you Stats Fans: I’ve known for donkeys years that blogger stats are totally meaningless without going into the myriad details. Today is proof positive; 155 hits at time of posting. All those viewers hooked on a blog about mediocre local birding? Yeah, right 🙄.
