Queensbury To Ogden Water

The exercise value outweighed the birding value especially when it snowed for about 50 minutes thus quenching what little ambition I had for Mixenden.

A bunch of 7/8 Goldfinch on the feeders at bottom of Persecuting Rd.
Soil Hill was passage only - nothing doing at all. A Curlew flew over Causeway Foot.

Apart from a Blackbird and 4 Crows all birds at Ogden were on or around the feeders. Blue, Great, Coal & LT Tits & a Dunnock.
The small mix of Gulls on the water decided to leave when the snow started. 2 BHG were in summer plumage.

c16 species in total. I often wonder how a guy with a modicum of intelligence and common sense could choose birding as a hobby 🤔. It’s taken me around 60 years to realise it chose me 🙄.
