Soil Hill to Mixenden Res

A reasonable start followed by patches of inactivity - again.
Soil Hill: 0850 hrs. I encountered a group of over inquisitive cows 🐄 at the Perspiration Road entrance. This led to a good 10 minute period of cajoling, jostling and much tongue flicking, not to mention copious amounts of snot. Eventually I did calm myself, put my tongue back in, wiped all the cows down and carried on walking 😎.

1 each Kestrel & Collared Dove, 2 Moorhen, 3 Skylark, 1 Linnet, couple Goldfinch.

There was a family of Reed Bunting busily flitting around the bushes, maybe up to 7 birds. Also 2 each WW & Whitethroat. 1 Blackbird, couple Swallow.

Ogden Res was quiet. 2 GC Grebe, 1 Common Gull ditto Cormorant, 10 LBBG, c31 BHG. A few common arboreal types were active incl 1 GSW but migrants down to 1 Chiffchaff & 2 WW. 4 Moorhen were by the plantation pond.

The bottom golf course route coughed up 3/4 Goldfinch, 1 Stonechat, 4 Linnet, couple Swallow.
Mixenden: 1 Pied Wagtail, 1 each GSW & Green Woodpecker, 17 Canada, 1 Cormorant.
