The Black Redstart was still at the farm at 1000 hrs in its favourite spot. The only other birds on the Hellish Hill were a couple each of Blackbird & Meadow Pipit.
4 Swallow showed at Ogden Plantation and 7 LBBG were on the water with a few BHG.
How shall I play the rest of this post? Perhaps I could tweak the rhetoric with "there were monotonous swathes of emptiness" or maybe "If I had a sovereign for every bird I saw thence, I'd make a pauper look wealthy". Sod it, let's run with: it were reet crap after that, just a Jay seen.
