Goldfinch in small numbers throughout the walk. 7 Blackbird, 1 Mistle Thrush, 3 Robin, 2 Meadow Pipit & whatever was hiding.
I decided to take the shorter, non Curlew route for the next stage.
I played a blinder at Mixenden Res. Thinking that if I looked at the gulls without the binoculars a rarity would turn up, I decided to use them on every Gull. This of course ensured that just the regulars would be seen and so it transpired 👍😎.
c11 Herring, few Common, numerous BH present.
Elsewhere: 1 Barn Owl.
